Odoo for Nurmart: Multi-Branch Retail, POS, and IoT
NURATEK partnered with
Nurmart
to unify
Arab grocery retail
operations across Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Johor on Odoo delivered in two clear phases: a soft launch at one branch first, then a full go-live across the network with in-store IoT devices and consolidated accounting reports.
Multi-branch Arab grocery retail needed one store system
Nurmart is an Arab grocery retail network in Malaysia,
with presence in
Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Johor.
Every branch runs checkout, procurement, stock, sales, and bookkeeping that have to stay aligned.
Spreadsheets and disconnected store tools were not enough for a retail network: stock has to be accurate at the till,
purchasing has to follow inventory movement, and accounting has to consolidate across branches.
Shop-floor equipment — barcode scanners, mobile scanners, printers, customer displays, and scales —
also needed to sit on the same flows, not outside the ERP.
NURATEK brought more than
10 years of hands-on Odoo implementation and customization experience
to design a practical, phased roadmap: get Point of Sale, Purchase, Inventory, Sales, and Accounting live
across branches first, then connect IoT devices and consolidated accounting reports.
Retail modules that run every branch
A focused Odoo stack covering the checkout, procurement, stock, sales, and finance workflows Nurmart needs every day.
Point of Sale
In-store checkout connected to stock, pricing, and branch sales flows.
Purchase
Vendor requests, approvals, and procurement for retail replenishment.
Inventory
Branch stock, transfers, and inventory processing via barcode scanners.
Sales
Orders and commercial follow-through in one retail pipeline.
Accounting
Branch books ready to consolidate across the Malaysia network.
From Soft Launch to Full Go-Live Across Every Branch
Rather than switching the system on everywhere at once, we validated it at a single location first before expanding it to the entire network.
Phase 1 · Soft Launch
A full trial at one branch
POS, Purchase, Inventory, Sales, and Accounting validated on the shop floor
The complete system ran at a single branch (M-City, Kuala Lumpur) as a soft launch. This stage proved that the
real-time inventory customization and the discount rules held up under real operating conditions before anything was rolled out further.
Every core module running fully at one branch
Real-time inventory customization and discount rules validated on the floor
Store team trained on site
Workflow fixes driven by day-to-day operational feedback
Phase 2 · Full Go-Live
Rolled out to the entire network
Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Johor running on one and the same system
Once it was proven at the first branch, the same system was rolled out to every location, complete with
shop-floor IoT devices and accounting reports consolidated across branches.
On-site collaboration and real retail operations ensured Nurmart’s team was ready to run Odoo on the shop floor.

Why Nurmart chose NURATEK
NURATEK is a specialist in
Odoo implementation
and Odoo customization. We combine professional experience of more than
10 years in Odoo
with practical delivery and
reasonable pricing so retail networks get enterprise-grade ERP without enterprise bloat.
Standards first, customize with intent
We maximize Odoo’s native POS and retail ERP capabilities, then customize only where the shop floor requires it — displays, scanners, IoT, and reports — keeping upgrades safer and costs controlled.
Phased go-lives that reduce risk
Phase 1 validated every module at a single branch until it ran smoothly in real operations; only then did Phase 2 roll the same system out across the whole network, complete with IoT devices and consolidated accounting reports.
Professional delivery, fair pricing
Senior Odoo practitioners, clear scope, and transparent commercial terms, so you invest in outcomes, not endless change requests.
